As a young person, I loved taking photos. My first introduction to it was a
darkroom class I took while at Girl Scout Camp way back. I had a Kodak 110 with
a wrist strap that I took everywhere. My love of imagery never waned. As I got
older, I learned the technical stuff using an old Olympus OMG that my dad gave
me. I scratched the F-stops and shutter speeds into the silver in order to learn. I
still shoot with that camera today
When digital Photography came around, I fell in love. As a mom, it gave me
the ability to shoot photos of every moment of every day without the cost of
developing. As my kids grew older, we became more active outdoors, and my
love of imagery turned to nature. I escaped as much as possible to be behind the
camera in the woods.
When my kids went off to college, it offered me the time to do the same. I
began classes in photography at my local college, where I was able to learn
more technical skills and bring my visions to life.
You will find me traveling as much as possible and capturing small
wonders to share. Like they say,
“pics or it didn't happen”
