As a young person, I was captivated by the art of photography. My journey began with a
darkroom class I attended at Girl Scout Camp, where I first discovered the magic of
creating images. Armed with a trusty Kodak 110 camera, complete with a wrist strap, I
carried it everywhere, nurturing a passion for capturing moments that has never faded.

As I grew older, my curiosity led me to explore the technical aspects of photography
using an old Olympus OMG that my dad had gifted me. I even scratched the F-stops
and shutter speeds into the silver body to memorize them. Remarkably, I still shoot with
that camera today.

When digital photography emerged, it was a game-changer. As a mother, it allowed
me to capture every fleeting moment without the burden of development costs. As my
children grew and our family adventures took us outdoors, I shifted my focus to the
beauty of nature, finding solace behind the lens in the woods.

With my kids off to college, I seized the opportunity to pursue my passion further. I
enrolled in photography classes at my local community college, honing my technical
skills and learning to bring my creative visions to life.
